Initial public offering (IPO) by the global investment firm Brookfield India Real Estate Trust (REITs) hit the capital market on Wednesday to raise up to Rs 3,800 crore.
DLF Ltd has added 18.6% over last one month compared to 6.48% gain in S&P BSE Realty Index index and 3.7% rise in the SENSEX
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals rose 1.85% to Rs 496.35 after the company said it received final approval from the US drug regulator for topiramate extended-release capsules.
Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 311.87 points or 1.22% at 25791.5 at 09:48 IST.
After shedding over 60 points, the 30-share index made a U-turn and was trading over 520 points higher at a record high of 50,321.89.
Consumer Durables stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index rising 406.38 points or 1.29% at 31811.53 at 09:48 IST.
Healthcare stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index increasing 423.47 points or 2.01% at 21486.76 at 09:48 IST.
Shares of Home First Finance Company made a decent stock market debut on Wednesday.
Sensex up 433 points at 50231, while the Nifty50 rose 107 points up at 14754.
Bharti Airtel, Adani Enterprises, Adani Green Energy, Apollo Tyres, Aptech, Astral Poly Technik and Bajaj Consumer Care are slated to announce their financial results on Wednesday.
