Maruti Suzuki is giving flat cash discount of Rs 35,000 on its highest-selling hatchbacks, Alto K10, Celerio and Swift. While, on another of its hatchbacks, WagonR, Maruti Suzuki is giving flat cash discount of only Rs 25,000.

Maruti Suzuki is giving a flat cash discount of Rs 35,000 on cars sold under the Arena network:

Flat cash discount is exclusive of corporate discount, exchange bonus, selling price of old car & scrappage value.

Apart from this, customers can save tons of money if they avail of other numerous benefits available on all these four models. These benefits are exchange bonus of up to Rs 15,000, corporate discount of up to Rs 5,000 and amount relished by selling of old car in the exchange offer or the scrappage value.

How much exchange bonus Maruti Suzuki is giving?

Maruti Suzuki is giving exchange bonus of Rs 15,000. But, this is only the bonus. The aspirant car buyer will also get the price at which Maruti Suzuki will sell the buyer’s old car which he would exchange. So, apart from the exchange bonus, buyer can also get the amount at which his old car his sold in the exchange offer.

For example, if the buyer has Alto K10 and he wants to exchange his car at the time of buying a new car of Maruti Suzuki. And, if the Alto K10 is sold for Rs 2 lakh, then, he will get the entire Rs 2 lakh minus True Value’s commission plus the exchange bonus of Rs 15,000. Maruti Suzuki sells old cars of customers through its subsidiary, True Value.

But the old car should not be more than 10 years old (in case of diesel) and 15 years old (in case of petrol). Otherwise, the car buyer will neither get the exchange bonus and the price value of his old car. In this case, he will only stand a chance to get scrap value of his old car if he opts for scrappage.

How much corporate discount customers can get?

Albeit, corporate discount will vary according to industry of the employee (aspirant car buyer) where he works. It will also depend upon whether his organisation is registered with Maruti Suzuki or not. If the organization is not registered, then, he will not get any corporate discount. Corporate discount generally varies in the range of Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000.

How much scrap value customers can get?

If the old car of the buyer is not eligible for exchange, then, he can get his car scrapped with Maruti Suzuki. He will get scrap value for his old car. The scrap value also varies according to how old the car is. Scrap value of old cars generally vary in the range of Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000.

So, if the customer is eligible for all these offers, then, he can get total benefits of more than Rs 55,000 on models like Alto K10, Celerio and swift, and up to Rs 45,000 on WagonR. But, if the customer chooses to exchange his old vehicle with new one, then, he can save much more than this.

Under the exchange offer, if customer decides to exchange his old car with new one, then, he can get total cash benefits of Rs (35,000*+15,000+5,000+amount relished on sale of old car in the exchange offer). So, the customer can get total benefits of way more than Rs 55,000. (*Rs 25,000 in case of WagonR)

If the customer’s old car is not eligible for exchange offer but he opts for scrapping his old car, then, he will get total cash benefits of only Rs (35,000*+5,000+20,000). So, his benefits will be capped at a maximim of  Rs 60,000. (*Rs 25,000 in case of WagonR)

So, the customer stands a chance to save a lot of money if he exchanges his old car with the new one! Because, on availing of the exchange offer, he not only stands a chance to save up to Rs 55,000 he will also get the amount reduced on selling of his old car. So, the total benefits  could go up to lakh.

But, if the customer doesn’t already have a car, then, his benefits will be capped at around Rs 40,000 for Alto K10, Celerio and Swift and up to Rs 30,000 on WagonR.
