Ease of convenience for people who have accounts in public sector lender, Bank Of Baroda. Those who have got messages or any other form of communication from the public lender that they need to update their Know Your Customer (KYC) details. Such bank account holders can now make a video call with the Bank Of Baroda’s executives to update their KYC details (by availing newly launched ‘Video Re-KYC feature) sitting at the comfort of their home.

Bank of Baroda’s service of update of KYC details of existing bank accounts through video calls is known as ‘Video Re-KYC’

Steps to update KYC details via video call with Bank of Baroda:

1. Go to https://onlinecasa.bankofbaroda.com/rekycvcip/#/core/custDetails

2. Fill in online application form

3. You will be required to fill in following details in the application form:

a. Customer ID
b. Registered Phone Number
c. Aadhaar Number
d. PAN, etc

4. Submit the online form

5. You will get a link to start the video call.

Mandatory documents for video calls:

Before clicking on the link to start the video call, you are required to keep the following requisites handy:
a. Original PAN Card
b. Blue/Black Pen
c. White paper

Is updating of KYC details mandatory for customers:

No. Only those account holders are required to update KYC who have received any such communication from their respective bank.

Which are the other banks which provide Video Re-KYC service?

Albeit, nowadays, all the private and public banks and most of the small finance banks provide the service of opening of savings account via video calls (which is known as VKYC). But still, very few banks provide service of update of KYC details through video calls  for existing bank accounts (which is known as Video Re-KYC). The feature of KYC update via video calls is known as  ‘Video Re-KYC’ in case of Bank of Baroda. Other banks provide the same service with more or less same procedure but with different names.

Is Video Re-KYC service available 24*7?

Albeit, you can fill the online application form anytime throughout the day, but, the link for ‘Video Re-KYC’ will be generated during working hours of the bank. This working hour varies from one bank to another. But you can save the form in draft and filling it. You can go back to the bank’s website to generate the link for video calls only during the working hours.

RBI has mandated banks for periodic update of KYC details of customers. You can receive communication through message or email that KYC update of your account is due. And you can be asked to update the same in a time bound manner.
