JioCinema to go behind paywall after IPL matches get over

Streaming app, JioCinema, will start charging customers for letting them watch content on its app. Viewers will have to pay for watching content like live matches, movies, and web series on the app. However, Jio will not levy any charges for letting viewers watch matches of the ongoing IPL tournament. The OTT platform will roll out subscription plans after the ongoing IPL tournament is over. Currently, all the contents like movies, web series, etc are free on JioCinema. But, once IPL ends, viewers will not be able to watch most of the content free of cost on the streaming platform.

Hitherto, Reliance Industries has not disclosed details of the subscription plans.
