Bank account holders of three of the top banks in the country will not be able to link their credit cards with their UPI apps at least till June, 2023. These three banks are State Bank of India (SBI), Axis Bank and ICICI Bank. Customers of these three banks were promised that they will be able to link their credit cards with their UPI IDs by March, 2023. But, due to technical reasons, customers will get to use this feature only from June, this year. Currently, account holders of Union Bank of India, Indian Bank, Punjab National Bank and HDFC Bank can avail of this feature on select UPI apps. The account holders of these four banks can use their credit cards to make UPI transactions only with BHIM, Mobikwik, and Paytm apps.
