A cheaper version of Amazon’s Prime subscription has been launched in India. The Prime Lite subscription, unlike the regular Prime membership, has a single annual plan. Viewers will have to pay 999 rupees for 12 months as there are no quarterly or monthly plans. Yearly plan of Amazon prime costs 1,499 rupees. So, Amazon Prime Lite subscription will be cheaper by 500 rupees. But users will get lesser features in the lite version like ‘skip ad’ and lower HD quality and no quarterly payments.

Earning from YouTube becomes easier

Earning from YouTube has become easier. YouTube has relaxed the monetization policy. Rules have been made easier. YouTubers will be able to start earning even if they have low subscriber count. YouTube has reduced the terms and conditions of having 1,000 subscriber count to 500 to monetize channels. Mandatory watch hours have also been reduced from 4000 hours to 3,000 in a year. Relaxing rules will attract new content creators to create accounts on YouTube. Currently, this is not applicable for YouTubers in India.

SGB Series-I subscription to kicks-off on June 19

If you have not yet subscribed to any sovereign gold bond scheme, then, you can do so as the latest series will be opened by the RBI on Monday, June 19, 2023. The issue price will be fixed later on. The series will remain open for subscription for five days till June 23, 2023. You will also get a discount of 50 rupees if you subscribe it online. This will be first series of sovereign gold bond scheme in current financial year. So far, RBI has announced subscription dates for two series of the scheme. Both these series are for first half of current fiscal. Second series will open for subscription from September 11, 2023. On Thursday, gold was trading at near about. You can redeem it after 8 years. you will get interest of 2.50% every year. You can subscribe to the scheme on your bank’s website.

Adani Group Cos face FII exodus in Q4 FY23

According to media reports, number of FPIs that had invested in Adani Group companies have reduced on sequential basis in March quarter of financial year 2023. Adani Total Gas saw highest number of FIIs ejection amongst other Adani Group of companies. After the rejig, Adani Total Gas is left with highest number of FIIs by March 2023 end. FII selling in Adani Group stocks can impact retail participation as retail investors in India track FIIs movement before investing in any company. Plus, FIIs selling also raise doubt whether allegations made in the Hindenburg report was not totally false.

This breast cancer drug gets more than Rs 38K cheaper

Breast cancer drug, Trumab, has become cheaper by more than 38,000 rupees. A 440 mg vial of Glenmark’s Trumab earlier used to cost 54,000 rupees. But now it will come for only 15,749. But only Glenmark has reduced the price of Trumab. This drug is used in treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer. Trumab is the brand name. The medical name is Trastuzumab. Other pharmas also sell Trastuzumab. Most of the existing Trastuzumab brands in the market are priced in between 40,000 to 54,000 rupees per 440 mg vial. Hopefully, other pharmas too will cut prices of the drug

Hero MotoCorp drives in Xtreme 160R 4V at Rs 1.27 lakh

Hero MotoCorp has driven in a new bike with 163cc engine at starting ex-showroom price of 1.27 lakh rupees in Delhi. The all new Xtreme 160R 4V boasts of in-app navigation services, E20 complaint engine and is fully BS VI complaint. The premium bike comes equipped with all devices that government has made it mandatory for all two wheelers manufactured on or after April 1, 2023. Hero will be launching more motorcycles in the premium segment with high engine capacity in the near future.

Honda drives in 2023 Unicorn at Rs 1.07 lakh

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has driven in OBD-compliant version of Unicorn at starting ex-showroom price of 1.07 lakh rupees in Delhi. The 2023 Honda Unicorn is fitted with 160cc engine. Customers will also get special 10-year warranty package on the two-wheeler. It will include 3 years of standard warranty and 7 years of optional warranty.

Home buyer gets Rs 31.57 lakh compensation

An aspirant home buyer in Maharashtra got 31.57 lakh rupees compensation from the state’s RERA, because the builder failed to provide flat on time. All aspirant home buyers of a stuck project in Panvel got the compensation. MahaRERA auctioned builder’s personal properties to provide compensation to home buyers who had booked flats but didn’t get possession. This is the first time that RERA of any state has auctioned builder’s personal properties to compensate home buyers. MahaRERA disbursed total compensation of 4.78 crore rupees for the stuck project in Panvel.

BSE further divests 4.5% stake in CDSL

BSE divested 4.5 per cent stake in country’s only listed depository, CDSL. The transaction took place in open market at average price of 985 rupees per share. Time to time, BSE has been divesting stake in the depository. This is not because BSE doesn’t see any profit by remaining invested in the depository. But this is because exchanges in India cannot keep stake in any depository beyond a certain limit. Since, BSE’s stake in CDSL was more than the required limit. So, the oldest exchange of Asia had to trim its stakeholding.
