Days afterTCS sacked 6 employees in a recruitment bribery case, Tata Steel fired a total of 35 people for breaching the code of conduct. Out of its 38 employees, 35 were suspended for ‘unacceptable practices bordering on ethical issues’ and the other three for sexual misconduct. The company took action against its employees based on complaints received by several whistleblowers on issues such as misuse of authority, conflict of interest, and contract management agreements. Tata Steel received a total of 875 complaints last fiscal year, 158 were related to whistleblowers, 48 were regarding safety and 669 were on HR and other behavioural issues.

Things are not looking good for Byju Ravvendran at Byju’s. It seems the shareholders and investors are losing faith in the company and the founders. Now some of the company’s investors want to oust the company’s founder and chief executive officer Byju Ravindran from the company, according to reports. In fact, in the EGM convened on July 4, there was a demand from some of the company’s investors to remove Byju Ravindran and appoint a new interim CEO in his place. It has also been said that Byju Ravindran should not continue in his post until a decision is taken from the court. This EGM was called to update the shareholders about the new auditor and restructuring plan.
