Delhi witnessed the highest spike of covid cases in two months
As per the Delhi government, the positivity rate is at 0.52%. The capital has currently 1,900 active cases
In the last 24 hours, Delhi recorded 370 fresh covid-19 cases, the highest spike in the last two months. Total covid cases in Delhi reached 642,030 with 10,931 total fatalities, including four new deaths in the last 24 hours.
As per the Delhi government, the positivity rate is at 0.52%. The capital has currently 1,900 active cases. 279 patients recovered from the virus while 982 patients are still in home isolation.
Delhi had been warned earlier on its increasing covid cases by the Central government. The Union government also asked the Kejriwal government to give an impetus to the vaccination drive.
The number of covid cases started going down from January 4. From March 1, cases have started rising gradually. Health experts have attributed this sudden spike in cases due to the flouting of covid-19 norms by the people.
