Amid the second wave of Covid-19, the hospitality industry in India is also working towards alleviating the impact of the pandemic. In this regard, Radisson Blu, Udyog Vihar has announced to offer fresh, home-styled complimentary meals to all covid affected families. Although delivery charges are applicable.
“Things are bad right now but just like everything else in life this too shall pass. Radisson Blu Udyog Vihar is with you in these trying times and will be providing fresh, safe, home-style food to all covid affected families prepared by our dedicated team,” it said in a statement.
The meals will be delivered door-to-door and Gurugram residents can call or Whatsapp on 7838660020 between 12 noon to 6:30 pm.
Last year, when the pandemic hit the country, Radisson Gurugram partnered with The Oberoi Gurugram for sending packed meals to the underprivileged in Delhi-NCR.
The Radisson Hotel Group also donated Rs 35 lakh to PM CARES Fund during the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Amid the Covid crisis, Gurugram’s health infrastructure is finding it difficult to handle the pressure with most hospitals working beyond its capacity. Due to the immense pressure, healthcare officials in the city ordered 12 hotels be converted into quarantine centres.
Apart from the hospitality industry in Gurugram, many private caterers and home chefs have also come forward to provide home cooked meals to Covid-19 patients. Most of them are providing meals for free while some are charging nominal rates.
Meanwhile, Gurugram’s cumulative positive tally has reached 1,38,168 with 4,475 fresh cases being registered as of May 4, while the recovery rate stands at 72.45%.
