Most of the fraud in ATMs are done via Card Cloning. Under this, a thief creates another card by extracting your complete information and empties your account.

How is card cloning done?
For this, hackers steal the user’s data from the card slot in the ATM machine. That is, if you do not check the ATM while using it, then you may have to face a big financial loss. Actually, hackers install such a device within the ATM machine which scans your card completely. After this, they hack your data through Bluetooth or any other wireless device.

Keep these things in mind while using an ATM
1. Be careful while entering the pin number
Hackers need your ATM PIN to gain full access to your debit card. Therefore, whenever you enter the ATM PIN, enter it by hiding it in some way, so that it cannot be captured in the CCTV camera.

2. Check slot
Before using an ATM, check its card slot. If you feel that the slot has been tampered with or if the slot is loose, then immediately contact the guard or the police.

3. Look at the green light
Pay attention to the light that comes on in the machine when you insert the card into the slot. If its green, then the ATM is safe. And if nothing shows up, then do not use this ATM. There might be something wrong with this ATM machine.

4.Contact the police
Even after these steps, if you ever feel that you have fallen into the trap of hackers, then immediately contact the police. The police can identify the hacker by tracking the fingerprint of the hackers or by tracking the nearby Bluetooth. And you can avoid a big loss!
