
Petrol and diesel prices remained stable on August 26, state-run oil companies notified. After holding static for over a month, the auto fuel prices started softening last week.
Petrol price in Delhi was unchanged at Rs 101.49 per litre, while diesel was at Rs 88.92 per litre. In Mumbai, a litre of petrol will cost Rs 107.52 and diesel at Rs 96.84. Currently, fuel prices are highest in Mumbai among all metro cities.
In Kolkata, a litre of petrol and diesel prices will cost Rs 101.82 and Rs 91.98, respectively. Petrol price in Chennai stood at Rs 99.20 per litre and diesel at Rs 93.52.
