Rupee on September 7: Here’s how it fared against other currencies

The currency rate differs daily and is updated frequently due to change in economic performance, inflation, interest rate differentials, etc.

Rupee on September 7: Here's how it fared against other currencies
It has registered a decline of 32 paise to close at 73.42.

The Indian rupee against the dollar has ended at 73.42 today. The currency rate differs daily and is updated frequently due to change in economic performance, inflation, interest rate differentials, and capital flows. On Monday, the rupee had dropped by 32 paise at 73.42 against the US dollar.

The local unit opened flat at 73.12 against the greenback at the interbank forex market. In the day trade, it moved in a range of 73.12 and 73.44. It has registered a decline of 32 paise to close at 73.42.

Brent crude futures, the global oil benchmark, 0.01% to $72.21 per barrel.

After scaling a new high of 58,553 during the day, Sensex ended at 58,279.48, down 17.43  points or 0.03%. Likewise, Nifty declined 15.70 points or 0.09% to end at 17,362.10. The 50-share index scaled an intra-day high of 17,436.50.

In the capital market on September 4, foreign institutional investors were net sellers. FPIs offloaded shares worth Rs 589.36, as per exchange data.
