The pandemic has hit everyone differently. With the surge in Covid-19 cases and state governments imposing restrictions just like last year, people are once again confined to their homes, thereby restricting our physical movements.

But our Bollywood stars are always buzzing on social media and posting fitness videos.

Malaika Arora shared an Instagram reel about body toning and Yoga Asanas. In her workout video, Arora shared three yoga asanas Vrikshasana, Naukasana and Utkatasana.

“These poses holistically work on your overall body and helps in toning the body with consistent practice,” she said in her post.

While explaining the three asanas she says Vrikshasana (Tree Pose) helps to bring balance to your mind and body. It makes your legs stronger and is a great hip opener. Naukasana (Boat Pose) is excellent to burn stubborn fat around the belly and is a great practice to strengthen hip flexors and back muscles. And Utkatasana (Chair Pose) strengthens calves, back, and hip flexors. It also helps with stimulating the heart and abdominal organs.

Bollywood actor Milind Soman also shared his workout routine while he was quarantining after testing positive for Covid-19. In the video, he was seen using mudgar for light-arm workouts.

This exercise is used to strengthen the shoulders.

Geeta Basra also shared her pregnancy workout routine during the lockdown. Basra is expecting a second child with cricketer Harbhajan Singh. In her Instagram post, she said, “So during COVID times when there’s very little to no physical activity.. you can’t go anywhere, unsafe to go to gyms etc especially for expecting mothers, the one thing that has got me through this pregnancy is YOGA.”

Covid-19 is a respiratory disease that affects our lungs. Therefore, with little yoga at home, we can be healthy.
