Alia Bhatt’s powerful dialogue delivery in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited movie Gangubai Kathiwadi has left the audience spellbound. Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi’s trailer is finally out and Bhatt’s strong screen presence has raised the bar for the film.

Gangubai’s lead actress Alia Bhatt yesterday released the trailer on the occasion of Bhansali’s birthday. She tweeted, “Happy Birthday Sir.. I can think of no better way to celebrate you and your birthday Presenting a part of my heart & soul. Meet .. Gangu!”

The movie is based on the book, “Mafia Queens of Mumbai,” authored by S. Hussain Zaidi. Bhansali’s film is a portrayal of a woman Gangubai Kothewali who is a brothel owner. It showcases the strong character that is not scared of any MLA or policeman and tries to turn the event as per her wish.

As soon as Bhatt tweeted the trailer, wishes from Bollywood poured in. Many congratulated Alia Bhatt on her spectacular on-stage performance and also her look in the movie. Priyanka Chopra tweeted, “Alia!!!! I’m so proud of you my friend for stepping into complexity fearlessly. I hope you always keep shining. Presenting- Gangubai Kathiawadi! Congratulations Sanjay sir and team.”

Gangubai is set to hit the theatres on July 30, 2021.
