Undoubtedly, Hera Pheri is among the top comedy creations of Indian cinema. Akshay Kumar (Akshay Kumar), Sunil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal’s cult comedy ‘Hera Pheri’ completed 21 years on March 31. With its anniversary viewers got the boost of its third part for which they had been eagerly waiting for a long time.

Yes, Raju, Shyam, and Baburao are all set to strike again with  ‘Hera Pheri 3’. Yesterday, on its 21st anniversary, producer Firoz Nadiadwala announced ‘Hera Pheri 3.’ The script has been finalised and will be officially announced soon.

In a conversation with an entertainment portal, Feroze Nadiadwala has confirmed that he is bringing the third installment of the series – ‘Hera Pheri 3’ along with Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal.

Feroze Nadiadwala further said, ‘We were taking extra precautions on the script. Now that we have things, I can say that if they are made, then two or three Hera Pheri will be made together. We will make up the gap between the second and third part. There is a lot of pressure to take this franchise forward. It is our responsibility to introduce quality products to the audience.”

Feroze Nadiadwala also informed that ‘Hera Pheri 3’ will start from where ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ ended. This means that the film will continue to perpetuate the back story.

Hera Pheri was directed by Priyadarshan while the second part was directed by the late director Neeraj Vora. Now fans are quite excited to know who will direct the third part.

Hera Pheri is a remake of the Malayalam movie Ramji Rao Speaking’ by Siddique and Lal. In an earlier interview with PTI, Priyadarshan called it a ‘humour of poverty’ which “is inspired by Laurel and Hardy, Charlie Chaplin.” He had also revealed how Rawal had a lot of trouble in getting into the role of Baburao Ganpathrao Apte.

Hera Pheri, which was a massive hit at the time of its release, now enjoys a cult status. It also starred actors Om Puri, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Asrani, Mukesh Khanna, and Gulshan Grover.
