The theme for Aadhaar Hackathon is centered around two topics which are challenges. To solve them, UIDAI is reaching out to the young minds of all the engineering colleges. 

Aadhaar Hackathon 2021, an event which will be hosted by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will be targeting young innovators, who are still at various engineering institutes and are eager to step into the real world. According to the Ministry of Electronics and IT, the Hackathon will start from the midnight of October 28 and would continue till October 31. This is the first ever event organised by the UIDAI team.

The theme for Aadhaar Hackathon is centered around two topics which are challenges. To solve them, UIDAI is reaching out to the young minds of all the engineering colleges.

The winners of each theme would be rewarded with prize money and other lucrative benefits by UIDAI.

Hackathon theme

i) Enrolment and Update: The first theme is around Enrolment and Update, which essentially covers some of the real-life challenges being faced by the residents while updating their address.

ii) Identity and Authentication: The second theme is centered around the Identity and Authentication offered by UIDAI. Under the theme, UIDAI will be soliciting innovative solutions to provide Identity without sharing the Aadhaar number or any demographics information. Also, it is looking for innovative applications around the newly launched face authentication modality API. The objective is to popularize some of the existing and new APIs to solve the needs of the residents.
