The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 147 vacancies for the post of professor, additional professor, associate professor and assistant professor in the institute.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Kalyani has invited applications for vacant faculty posts in various departments. The online application process is underway. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for these posts through the official website of the AIIMS, Kalyani at aiimskalyani.edu.in.

The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 147 vacancies for the post of professor, additional professor, associate professor in the institute. As per the official recruitment notification, Indian citizens or overseas citizen of India (OCI) cardholders can apply for these posts. The last date of online application form submission is July 18, 2021.

1) Professor: 28

2) Additional professor: 22

3) Associate professor: 32

4) Assistant professor: 65

Payscale

1) Professor: Level 14-A of the pay matrix that is minimum pay of Rs.1,68,900. In addition, non-practising allowance for medically qualified candidates.

2) Additional professor: Level 13-A2+ of the pay matrix, that is minimum pay of Rs 1,48,200. In addition, non-practising allowance for medically qualified candidates.

3) Associate professor: Level 13-A1+ of the pay matrix, that is minimum pay of Rs 1,38,300. In addition, non-practising allowance for medically qualified candidates.

4) Assistant professor: Level 12 of the pay matrix, that is minimum pay of Rs 1,01,500. In addition, non-practising allowance for medically qualified candidates.

Eligibility criteria

1) Qualifications:

Medical candidates

i) A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956.

ii) A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

iii) MCh for surgical super specialities and D.M. for Medical super specialities (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognised course) or a qualification recognised equivalent thereto.

Non-medical candidates:

i) Postgraduate qualification e.g. Master’s degree in the discipline/allied subject.

ii) A doctorate degree from a recognised university in the concerned discipline.

2) Age limit

Professor/additional professor: Not exceeding 58 years as on July 18, 2021.

Associate professor/assistant professor: Not exceeding 50 years as on July 18, 2021.

Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government guidelines for the reserved categories.

Application fee

The application fee for unreserved, OBC, economically weaker sections (EWS) candidates is Rs 1,000.

No application fee for SC, ST, persons with benchmark disability (PwBD), women candidates.
