Assam Rifles has invited applications from eligible candidates for Rifleman/ Rifle-women (general duty) posts under the sports quota. The online application process is underway. Interested candidates can apply online for these posts through the official website of the Force at www.assamrifles.gov.in.
Both male and female candidates can apply. The last date of online application form submission is July 25, 2021.

Vacancy details
The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 131 vacancies for the post of Rifleman/Rifle-women (general duty) in Assam Rifles.
i) Rifleman: 75
ii) Riflewoman: 56
Eligibility criteria
i) Educational qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised university or board.
ii) Age: Between 18 to 23 years as of August 1, 2021. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government guidelines for the reserved category.
iii) Sports eligibility: There are some criteria for these posts. Candidates are advised to check sports eligibility in the recruitment notification.

Recruitment rally
The recruitment rally will be held at various places tentatively from August 24 onwards depending on the Covid-19 situation. Call letters to attend the rally will be auto-generated after the online submission of the application form. The exact date of reporting at the rally site will be mentioned in calling letters.

Scheduled castes/ scheduled tribes and female candidates: Nil
Selection process
Final selection will be done on the basis of achievements and performance in field trials/level of participation.
