Union ministers Smriti Irani, Bhupender Yadav, and Sarbananda Sonowal have been made part of the all-important cabinet committee on political affairs headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Forty-three new ministers were sworn-in on Wednesday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi revamped his Cabinet. The new cabinet is said to be the youngest ever in the country’s history. Let us take a look at who got what.

Starting with the prime minister, Narendra Modi will take charge of Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions; the Department of Atomic Energy; the Department of Space; all important policy issues; and all other portfolios not allocated to any minister.

Amit Shah gets the cooperation ministry and retains home affairs.

Mansukh Mandaviya has been given charge of the health ministry. In addition, he would retain the Ministry of Chemical Fertilizers.

Ashwani Vashnav has been given charge of Railways and IT ministry.

Former minister of state (Independent Charge) ministry of youth affairs and sports; and minister of state for minority affairs Kiren Rijiju gets the crucial law ministry.

Jyotiraditya Scindia has been given charge of the Civil aviation ministry.

Meenakshi Lekhi gets minister of state in external affairs and the Culture Ministry.

Anurag Singh Thakur has been given charge of Information and Broadcasting. Additionally, he will handle the Youth Affairs and Sports ministry. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad will replace Thakur as the MoS Finance.

Hardeep Singh Puri gets Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Housing and Urban Affairs.

Parshottam Rupala to take charge of Dairies and Fisheries portfolio.

Bhupender Yadav gets environment, forest and climate change and the labour and employment ministries.

Pashupati Paras has been given the Food Processing portfolio.

G Kishan Reddy will handle the Culture, tourism and Development of the North Eastern Region portfolios.
