Invest in Credit Risk Mutual Fund or not?

What are Credit Risk Funds? Why investors stay away from this investment? How do these funds work? How much is the risk in this investment?

Days after the second wave of Covid-19 settled, Union Minister Gen. Dr Vijay Kumar Singh said the ongoing pandemic is a biological war on humanity and the country responsible for this warfare must be held accountable at the earliest.

“This pandemic is a well-planned biological war and should be treated like one. We’ve been victims of this war. We’ll be able to handle the problem better once we accept this. The world needs to come together and demand an investigation into this matter. The country responsible for this pandemic must be held accountable,” Gen. Dr VK Singh, Union Minister of State for Road, Transport & Highways, said.

Speaking at a webinar conducted by the AB Foundation on June 13 to deliberate that ‘Are we facing challenges of biological war and how prepared are we’, the Union minister emphasized that SARS-CoV-2 is suitable to be a bioweapon. He further said that political parties shouldn’t become opportunistic at this hour.

“The Covid-19 virus is unlike any other viral infection. It is suitable to be a bioweapon. The entire world must come together to fight this pandemic. Such human tragedies should never be used for personal gains and I’d suggest all the political parties to not become opportunistic at this hour and find pitfalls in govt schemes,” Gen. Dr VK Singh asserted.

Also speaking at the webinar was veteran medical practitioner Dr Anand K Pandey, who said that Covid-19 is a ‘genetically engineered’ virus and calls for some immediate action.

“In all probabilities, Covid-19 is a genetically engineered virus. This calls for immediate civil biodefense to create stockpiles for supplies of pharmacy, logistics and other supportive resources. We should have a national backup of pharmaceuticals drugs to fight an unforeseen health emergency,” Dr Pandey, Director & Senior Consultant Cardiologist at Dharamshila Narayan Super specialty Hospital, said.

He further hinted towards the increasing need to set up a biomedical advanced research and development authority alongside a strong public health service in the country.

“Collaboration across several sectors including intelligence, police, forensics, customs, law enforcement agencies, public health service, public education, social organisation is much needed to overcome such unprecedented tragedies. The focus on research, vaccine development by government and pharmaceutical industry needs to be strengthened,” Dr Pandey added.

Meanwhile, the national vaccination programme has started and the government is positive about administering the doses to maximum people by year-end. However, in this context, Gen VK Singh stated that doorstep vaccination is important to complete the drive as per the set target.

“Doorstep vaccination is a must to complete the drive on time. Also, it would be absolutely inhuman to expect the older generation to reach the vaccination center to get jabbed,” the minister concluded.
