The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) of Indian Railways is inviting online applications for recruitment to the post of act apprentices. This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill up a total of 792 vacancies in various trades. Freshers and ex-ITI candidates are eligible to apply for these posts. The period of training will depend on the type of trade. The application process began on September 27, 2021. As per notification, only residents of Tamil Nadu can apply for these posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website of ICF. The last day to apply for these posts is October 26, 2021.

Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification: To apply for aforementioned ICF vacancies, the minimum required educational qualification will vary post to post. Candidates are requested to read the detailed recruitment notification.

Age limit: Candidates should not be less than 15 years and not more than 24 of age as on October 26, 2021. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government guidelines.

Stipend

As per notification, initially freshers who passed class 10 and class 12 will get Rs 6,000 and Rs 7,000 a month, respectively as stipend. On the other hand, ex-ITI candidates will get Rs 7,000 a month as stipend. But during the second year of apprenticeship training, there shall be an increase of 10% in the prescribed minimum stipend amount and further 15% increase in the prescribed minimum stipend amount during the third year of apprenticeship training.

Application fee

All candidates except SC/ ST/ PwBD and women will have to pay Rs 100 as application fee.
