In a statement, Google said that JioPhone Next will deliver great photos and videos from clearer photos at night and in low-light situations to HDR mode that brings out wider colour and dynamic range in photos. 

JioPhone Next, the made for India smartphone jointly designed by Jio and Google will be available in stores from diwali at an entry price of Rs 1,999 with the rest payable by EMI over 18 to 24 months, the two companies said on Friday. The phone will be available for Rs 6,499 without the EMI option. It can also be availed at Reliance Retail’s network of JioMart Digital retail locations, across the country. Reliance said that this will be the most affordable smartphone anywhere in the world.

With a tap of a button, the users of JioPhone can easily access and consume content in a choice of ten Indian languages, the company said. The camera has built-in-filters and can be used for superior night photography, and also a feature of voice first experience.

Snapchat lenses to create a great photo taking experience

The embedded voice-first features will also enable people to consume content and navigate the phone in their language of choice. JioPhone Next will open a world of opportunities for users, enabling millions of people to benefit from the power of internet, with the dual SIM support and the powerful Jio network.

The company has also partnered with Snap to integrate Indian-specific Snapchat lenses directly into Camera Go, the phone’s camera app. This will create a more delightful and innovative photo-taking experience of users.

Adding to that, the Read Aloud and Translate Now are now Operating System (OS) wide features which will work with any text on their phone screen, including web pages, apps, messages and even photos.

People can utilise their Google Assistant to deliver a great experience with many of the jio apps on this device using app actions.

Users can also ask Google Assistant to play music on JioSaavn or check their balance on My Jio.
