Tips to save IPO listing gains tax!

In the years 2023 and 2024, many IPOs brought huge earnings for the investors. But tax also has to be paid on this! What is the tax rule on booking listing gains from IPO? How can tax liability on listing gains be reduced? How will the tax be calculated on selling IPO shares?

National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC), a public sector company, has invited applications for recruitment in various posts. The recruitment will be done for the post of medical officer, assistant rajbhasha officer, junior engineer (civil), junior engineer (electrical), junior engineer (mechanical) and senior accountant. This recruitment drive is initiated to fill up a total of 173 vacancies. The application process has begun and will continue till September 30, 2021. This recruitment drive is initiated to fill up a total number of 173 vacancies in NHPC. Have a look at the post-wise vacancies.

1) Senior medical officer: 13 posts

2) Assistant rajbhasha officer: 07 posts

3) Junior engineer (civil): 68 posts

4) Junior engineer (electrical): 34 posts

5) Junior engineer (mechanical): 31 posts

6) Senior accountant: 20 posts

Pay scale

1) Senior medical officer: Rs 60,000 to Rs 1,80,000

2) Assistant rajbhasha officer: Rs 40,000 to Rs 1,40,000

3) Junior engineer (civil): Rs 29,600 to Rs 1,19,500

4) Junior engineer (electrical): Rs 29,600 to Rs 1,19,500

5) Junior engineer (mechanical): Rs 29,600 to Rs 1,19,500

6) Senior accountant: Rs 29,600 to Rs 1,19,500

Eligibility criteria

1) Senior Medical Officer

– Education Qualification: Candidates must have an MBBS degree with valid registration. In addition, two years of post-internship experience excluding the period spent on courses / PG, etc. is also required.

– Age limit: Candidates should not have completed a maximum of 33 years of age as on July 1, 2021.

2) Assistant Rajbhasha Officer

– Education Qualification: Candidates must have a master’s degree from a recognised Indian university in Hindi with English as an elective subject at the degree level or master’s degree from a recognised Indian university in English with Hindi as an elective subject at the degree level.

– Age limit: Candidates should not have completed a maximum of 35 years of age as on July 1, 2021.

3) Junior engineer (civil)

– Education Qualification: Candidates must have a full-time regular diploma in civil engineering from any government or government recognised institute with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade. Knowledge of Auto CAD will be an added advantage.

– Age limit: Candidates should not have completed a maximum of 30 years of age as on July 1, 2021.

4) Junior engineer (electrical)

Education qualification: Candidates must have a full-time regular diploma in electrical engineering from any government or government recognised institutes with minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade. Knowledge of Auto CAD will be an added advantage.

– Age limit: Candidates should not have completed a maximum of 30 years of age as on July 1, 2021.

5) Junior engineer (mechanical)

Education qualification: Candidates must have a full-time regular diploma in mechanical engineering from government or government recognised Institutes with minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade. Knowledge of Auto CAD will be an added advantage.

– Age limit: Candidates should not have completed a maximum of 30 years of age as on July 1, 2021.

6) Sr. Accountant

– Education qualification: Candidates must have an intermediate CA or CMA. Pass candidates are also eligible.

– Age limit: Candidates should not have completed a maximum of 30 years of age as on July 1, 2021.

Selection criteria

The selection of the candidates will be based on the merit of the online test.

How to apply

Interested candidates can apply to the posts through the online mode on or before September 30, 2021. After submitting the online application, the candidates can take a printout of the application for future reference.

Application fee

Candidates belonging to general, OBC and GEN-EWS category are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 250 through online mode. The SC, ST, PwBD and ex-serviceman category candidates need not pay the registration fee.
