At NIT Warangal, average salary has increased to Rs 20 lakh per annum from Rs 18 lakh per annum till October last year. The number of recruiters visiting the campus has increased by 20% this year, as compared to 190 last year.

Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL), a state-owned electricity transmission company, has invited applications for recruitment to the post of junior maintenance and operator trainees (JMOT). This recruitment drive is initiated to fill up a total of 200 vacancies, out of which 66 posts are reserved for women. As per the notification, this recruitment is on a contract basis and selected candidates have to undergo training for a period of one year at various units of the corporation. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for these posts through the official website of OPTCL at optcl.co.in.

Socially and educationally backward classes (SEBC): 22 posts

Eligibility criteria

– Educational qualification: The candidates should have passed their higher secondary and must have an ITI certificate in electrician trade from NCVT with a minimum of 60% marks for general and SEBC candidates and 50% for SC, ST, or Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates.

– She or he must be able to read, write and speak Odia fluently.

– Age limit: Candidates should have completed 18 years of age and should not have completed 32 years of age as on September 1, 2021. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government guidelines.

Selection process

According to the official notification, the candidates will be selected on the basis of computer-based test, skill test and career marking. Eligible candidates will be called for the computer-based test (CBT). Those candidates who qualify in CBT and are shortlisted shall be called for a skill test.

Application fee

While the unreserved and SEBC candidates will have to pay Rs 500 as an application fee, SC, ST, PwD candidates will have to pay Rs 250.
