RBI Issues Circular On Levying Unfair Interest Charges On Customers

Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has issued notification for recruitment to the post of assistant accountants. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for the post through the official website of UPPC at upenergy.in. The online application process has started. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online till November 9, 2021. The examination is tentatively scheduled to be conducted in the second week of December, 2021. This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill up a total of 240 vacancies. Take a look at category-wise vacancy details:

Other backward class (OBC): 56 posts

Scheduled caste (SC): 48 posts

Scheduled tribes (ST): 03 posts

Economically weaker section (EWS): 24 posts

Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification: The applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in commerce from a recognised university.

Age limit: The applicants should have attained the age of 21 years and should not be more than the age of 40 years as on July 1, 2021.

Application fee

The applicants from the general category/ EWS /OBC (non-creamy layer) are required to pay the application fee of Rs 1,180, whereas Rs 826 is applicable to candidates belonging to SC and ST category. The applicants from the PWD category will have to pay Rs 12 only.

Selection process

Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of computer-based written test (CBT). The test will consist of two papers – Paper I with 50 questions and Paper-II with 150 questions. Each question will consist of 1 mark. There is a negative marking for every wrong answer.
