17,000 new credit cards issued by ICICI linked to wrong users

Ordering through Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) will become expensive from June 1. Currently, some incentives are being offered on ONDC, which makes ordering through the platform cheaper. However, that will change soon. The platform has decided to modify its incentive system. Now, there will be a cap on discounts. The discount offered will not exceed 50% of the order value. People are taking advantage of the discounts and currently, there are up to 13,000 transactions per day through the platform.

Defined discount limit
Under ONDC, various incentives are being provided to onboard new sellers to the network. Additionally, buyers are also being given incentives to encourage transactions. The incentive limit has now been set at a maximum of Rs 100 per order, and the discount on the order value will not exceed 50%. This means that if you place an order worth Rs  300, the maximum discount will be Rs 100. Furthermore, a minimum order value has been set to avail incentives or discounts. For food and beverages, the minimum order value should be at least Rs 200, while for other categories, it has been fixed at a minimum of Rs 300. Delivery charges will be included in this order value.

How is ONDC being used?
ONDC is an open-source network developed by the government. In recent times, the use of ONDC has gained momentum. People are using apps like Paytm and Pincode to access ONDC. The online payment service platform PhonePe recently launched the Pincode app, which is currently available only in Bangalore. Through these apps, people are buying groceries, food, home decor, and other items at discounted prices. Especially, food items are being ordered at cheaper rates compared to online food delivery apps like Swiggy and Zomato. Currently, around 98% of transactions are related to food and grocery spaces.
