Zomato launches priority delivery feature for orders marked as 'Covid-19 emergency'
The IPO of Zomato is remarkable as it would be the first listing of an internet-based startup.

Zomato has introduced a new feature on its app which prioritises delivery for COVID emergencies.

Deepinder Goyal, founder and CEO, Zomato said that “faster rider assignment” and “dedicated customer support” will be provided to the orders marked as “Covid-19 Emergency.”

“Today, along with thousands of our restaurant partners, we just rolled out a “priority delivery for covid emergencies” feature on the Zomato app. This feature will allow our customers to mark *This order is related to a COVID-19 emergency* option during checkout,” he tweeted.

He further added, “At Zomato, we will prioritise these orders by providing the fastest rider assignment, and dedicated customer support in case of queries. Thousands of restaurants have pledged to prioritise these orders in their kitchen above all others.”

Goyal also extended his gratitude to the entire restaurant industry for serving the customers during such grim times.
