New Delhi: Gold in the national capital tanked Rs 239 to Rs 45,568 per 10 gram on February 19 following decline in global precious metal prices, according to HDFC Securities.

In the previous trade, it had closed at Rs 45,807 per 10 gram.

Silver also tumbled Rs 723 to Rs 67,370 per kg, from Rs 68,093 per kg in the previous day.

In the global market, gold was quoting lower at USD 1,774 per ounce and silver was flat USD 26.94 per ounce.
