Cryptocurrency news: Polkadot up by 15.7%, Binance Coin increases by 5.8%

Seven of the top ten cryptocurrencies were trading in green in the last 24 hours, with Polkadot showing the highest gain of 15.70% and was trading at $49.18. Binance Coin climbed by 5.83% to $549.39. The world’s oldest and largest cryptocurrency Bitcoin rose by 0.97% to $61,034.20, while the second-largest token Ethereum had risen by 1.96% to $4,314.36. Cardano also gained by 0.12% to $1.94. Newcomer Shiba Inu slipped by 1.66%. In terms of ranking, all cryptocurrencies remained in the same position on Tuesday.

AMC Theatres’ US Chain may accept payment in Shiba Inu

AMC Theatres in the US is looking to expand its crypto portfolio in terms of accepting payments. Adam Aron, CEO, AMC Theatres has asked if dog-coin Shiba Inu should be considered as a payment option for purchasing movie tickets and other services they offer in the states, through a poll on Twitter.

The development comes almost a month after the movie theatre chain enabled Dogecoin payments. Both Shiba Inu and Dogecoin are pitted as rival meme-based coins.

The tweet read as follows: “TWITTER POLL #2: As you know, you can now purchase AMC gift cards using cryptocurrency, and our IT group is writing code so that soon we can accept online payments in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Dogecoin among others. Should we strive to take Shiba Inu too?

‘SQUID’ continues to surge over 300% in a day

The ‘SQUID’- a new brand of cryptocurrency based out of the South Korean web series ‘Squid Game’ has gained by over 300% and was trading at $13.60 on October 30th, according to CoinMarketCap.

Earlier SQUID had gained over 2,400% in a day to trade at $2.22 on October 29, CNBC had reported. The market cap of the new token stood above $174 million.
