As markets turn volatile at record high levels, Vinit Bolinjkar, Head of Research, Ventura Securities believes the time may be ripe to book profits.
“It’s a splendid time for investors to book profits. As a strategy, we are advising clients to park money in defensives. Investors can look to add stocks where secular growth is coming and valuations are comfortable which is not impacted by what’s really happening in overall markets,” Bolinjkar said.
On the sectors he prefers to stick within the current markets, he said, “We like food processing and food-oriented sectors like agri related stocks and fertilizers. Consumer stables we are bullish on. We are cherry-picking stocks on the ESG ( Environmental, Social, and (Corporate) Governance) opportunities. This as a theme could play out over the next few quarters.”
