How to download Form 26AS from the new income tax portal

The Income Tax Department on June 7 launched the new e-filing portal. Here's step-by-step guide for downloading Form 26AS from the new portal

Post demonetisation in November 2016, the income tax department had in 2017 said no questions will be asked about cash deposits of up to Rs 2.5 lakh

Visit https://www.incometax.gov.in and click on the ‘Login’ at the top right corner.

Now enter your User ID which can be either your PAN or Aadhaar number and click on ‘Continue’

After clicking ‘Confirm’, you will be redirected to the TDS-CPC Portal where you’ll need to agree to the usage and acceptance of the Form.

Click ‘Proceed’ and then click ‘View Tax Credit (Form 26AS)’

Select the ‘Assessment Year’ and ‘View type’ as HTML, Text, or PDF and then click on “View/Download”.
