Financial independence is now a necessity: RJ Sayema

In an interview with Money9 on the occasion of International Women’s Day, RJ Sayema spoke extensively about how this day should be a reminder not just to celebrate womanhood but to aspire for equality and financial independency.

“More than celebrating the day, I think it comes as a reminder that we still need to do so much to achieve equality in society. Feminism is all about equality. When we talk about equality and women empowerment, financial empowerment should be at the centre of it,” Sayema said.

With social media trolling at an all-time high, women often become victims of online bullying.

Sayema said women should to face it like one of the many challenges that come their way.

“Trolls try to psychologically pull you down. They try to control you from flying high. But if I’ve decided to achieve something, I will have struggles and challenges on my way.  And I have to cross it to move ahead,” she added.
