This is India's first survey that not only depicts people's economic conditions but also presents a report card of their hopes and aspirations.

The year 2023 is coming to an end. Many changes are being observed worldwide. Amidst these developments, how has your life changed? Has there been any change in the income of Indian families in the past year? Has the bread owners of families increased or decreased? Has their savings increased or decreased? Have the means of saving changed? Or, are old habits still prevalent? What do Indian families buy? How do they earn? What do they save? And what do they lose? How many people in India are buying gold? Where are they buying it? In what manner are they purchasing it? These questions are addressed by the country’s largest personal finance survey.

Money9 conducted a survey last year to gather information related to your budget. Once again, Money9 is back with a comprehensive survey. In comparison to the previous survey, this time, the survey has made an effort to understand India more deeply. The survey has reached not only metro cities but also smaller and less explored cities. This survey was conducted between August and November 2023. The survey team inquired about the current economic status of more than 35,000 families in over 1,170 villages or urban wards in about 115 districts of 20 states. Bughers openly discussed their income, savings, expenses, and investment details.

The responsibility of the survey was entrusted to the prestigious global agency RTI International. This agency has conducted surveys of this kind for major institutions like the World Bank. A survey like Money9’s is usually conducted either by the Reserve Bank of India or the National Sample Survey Office in India. However, the most recent survey from both these organizations is much older than Money9’s survey. In the current circumstances, Money9’s survey provides the most accurate information on the economic health of Indians.

This is India’s first survey that not only depicts people’s economic conditions but also presents a report card of their hopes and aspirations. In other words, the survey will reveal which parts of the country are planning to buy cars? Who is looking for home loans? Or, who is investing in insurance, mutual funds, or gold? Keep your fingers on the pulse of India and listen to the heartbeat of India’s budget. This survey by Money9 will soon be broadcasted on TV9 Network’s Hindi channel TV9 Bharatvarsh. Stay tuned to Money9 for all the information related to the survey.
