Money 9 brings to you a personal finance survey… which is India’s pocket survey.

The survey was conducted by RTI International for Money 9.

A sample size of 31,500 families has been taken for this survey.

India’s largest independent personal finance survey has been conducted in more than 100 districts, in 10 different languages covering over 1,150 rural and urban wards.

Surveys with such a large sample size have only been done by RBI and NSSO so far.

In this survey, more than 250 questions were asked in a scientific manner, from each family for about 40 minutes.

This survey was done by physically visiting every family.

Money 9 and RTI team went door-to-door across the country and collected these data from GPS enabled devices.

Questions were asked on the income, savings, consumption, investment and debt of the people.

And on the basis of this, for the first time this survey will tell us how financially secure the people of India are…

Based on the information received from the survey, Money9 has developed a Personal Finance Index which will tell how many families in which state of India are financially secure…
