The country's largest personal finance survey is back.

After election results, it’s time for the “India Personal Finance Survey.” The noise of the elections has subsided. Voters have changed governments in their respective states. But how much has your life changed? Did you find out in election rallies or the speeches of leaders? To reveal all this, the country’s largest personal finance survey is back.

It will tell how people are living in India. What do Indian families buy? How do they earn? What do they save? And what do they spend on? Whose life turned 360 degree after COVID? Who is still struggling? How badly has inflation affected families? What do families have to save? India’s biggest survey on budget of people will reveal everything!

For information related to the finances of Indians, Money9 has conducted a survey this year, just like last year. This year’s survey is even more extensive compared to 2022. The survey included 10% more families than last year. It was conducted between August and November 2023. The survey team interviewed more than 35,000 families in over 1,170 villages or urban wards in about 115 districts of 20 states to understand their current economic situation. They openly shared details about their income, savings, expenses, and investments habits.

Unlike previous surveys, this year’s survey focused on small and medium size cities, besides metro cities, gathering information on citizens’ employment and financial activities. The responsibility of the survey was entrusted to the reputable global agency RTI International, which has rich experience in conducting such surveys for large institutions like the World Bank.

The survey that has been conducted by Money9 is not common in India, these are usually conducted by either the Reserve Bank of India or the National Sample Survey Office of India. However, the most recent survey from both these organizations is much older compared to Money9’s survey. In the current circumstances, Money9’s survey provides the most accurate information about the economic health of Indians.

This survey is the first in India that not only reveals people’s economic conditions but also provides a report card on their hopes and aspirations. In other words, the survey will tell which parts of the country people are planning to buy cars? Where they are looking for home loans? Or, where they are interested in investing in insurance, mutual funds, or gold. Stay tuned on Money9 for all the information related to this survey. It will soon be broadcasted on the TV9 network’s Hindi channel, TV9 Bharatvarsh. Keep your fingers on the pulse of India and listen to the heartbeat of Indians’ budget.
