As an Instagram user, you surely would have come across at least one of those Instagram direct messages that you wish to read without being seen. But have never found a solution for the same as Instagram has a default functionality to show the message read status.
So, is there any way to read Instagram messages without the seen tag? Yes, there is a trick around for this through which you can read Instagram messages secretly without updating the seen/read status keeping the sender unaware of the fact that you have read it.
Here’s how you can make use of this hack:
1- Open the Instagram app on your phone.
2- Go to the person’s profile whose direct messages you want to read without marking them as seen.
3- Click on the three-dot menu at the top right corner on the person’s profile page.
4- From the listed options, select Restrict.
5- Click on Restrict Account to confirm.
6- Now, click the Message button on the person’s profile.
7- You’ll now able to read all the Instagram messages without letting the other person know. You can also read it from the message request option in your profile.
The messages will remain as unseen as you had wished, and you can take your own time to respond to that message.
