If you are not getting confirmed rail tickets to go back home for upcoming festivals like Diwali or Chatt Puja, then, Paytm has a piece of good news for you. Now, you can get confirmed tickets on the fintech’s platform. Follow these steps to get the tickets:

1. Go to ticket booking section on Paytm’s app.

2. Click on ‘TrainTickets’ option

3. Enter source and destination stations

4. Enter departure date

4. Click on search trains

5. List of trains available on the mentioned departure date will show up.

6. If there is no confirmed ticket available then Paytm will throw open a new section ‘Guaranteed Seat Assistance’. This section will show only confirmed seats for the same train from other stations on the same route.

You can book confirmed tickets for the nearest stations to your desired boarding and destination stations and board the train.

Watchout! Confirmed tickets shown under ‘Guaranteed Seat Assistance’ will not be available from the boarding station to the destination station that you have mentioned. But it will rather be from other stations on the same route between which seats will be available. These stations will of course be nearest to your boarding and destination stations so that you would face least difficulties in reaching your ultimate destination. You will have to deboard at the nearest station to your desired destination station till where you have got a confirmed ticket. Normally the distance between the station you would actually deboard and the station where you had earlier mentioned as the desired destination station wouldn’t be too long. Either, you can hire a taxi to get to the town in which your desired destination station is. Or, the best thing you can do is you can board the train at the station which you had upfront mentioned as the desired boarding station and wait till arrival of the station from where you had got the confirmed seat!
