The last date for filing Income Tax Return (ITR Filing) is coming closer. The Last date for filing income tax return is 31st July 2023. Most of the people have filed their ITR. Whosoever is eligible are now waiting for their refunds. The refund normally comes within 20 to 60 days after the e-verification of ITR. According to the information given by the Income Tax Department, till July 18, 2023, a total of 3.06 crore returns have been filed, out of which 2.81 crore ITRs have also been verified. Now people’s refunds have also started coming. If you have also filed your ITR, then you can easily check your refund status online. You can check this (ITR Refund Status 2023) by visiting the website of NSDL or on the e-filing portal of the Income Tax Department. Let’s know its process.

If you have also paid tax in excess of your actual tax liability, you will get a refund. There are two ways to check this. You can check it in the official website of the government.
For this, first of all you go to the e-filing portal www.incometax.gov.in.
Now click on the ‘Quick Link’ section here.
Now you will see ‘Know your refund status’ below, click on it.
Now enter your PAN number, assessment year and mobile number here.
Now OTP will come on your mobile number, enter it.
Now you will see your refund status on your screen.
If there is any problem with your ITR or bank details, then ‘No record found’ will appear on the screen.

Check refund like this on NSDL

For this, first go to https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/oltas/refundstatuslogin.html.
Now enter your PAN, assessment year and captcha and click on ‘Proceed’.
Now choose your assessment year here.
Submit after entering the captcha code.
Now the status of your ITR refund will appear on your screen.
