Systematic Transfer Plan (STP) or lump sum — this has been a perennial quandary among investors. Until February-March this year, there has been a huge rally in the markets. But, during the second wave, people had started to panic and were divided between whether to do an STP or choose other options.
However, those who have done STP in the past eight months, their average has gone up as the markets continued on an upward swing. Hence, STP can be used as an averaging tool to enter the market.
