Should you invest in ICICI Prudential’s Nasdaq 100 Index Fund?

If you want to invest in companies like tech giants Apple, Microsoft, Google and Facebook, then ICICI Prudential has come up with Nasdaq 100 Index Fund. This is the first international passive fund of ICICI Prudential. This fund will track the returns of the Nasdaq 100 Index. The Nasdaq 100 is an index of America’s top non-financial companies. Should you invest in this fund? According to Chintan Hariya, Head Product, ICICI Pru, ICICI Pru’s Global Active Funds are present in the market but passive funds were not.

One should not choose between the two, rather investors should make both active and passive funds a part of the portfolio.

Sometimes active funds do well in the market and sometimes passive funds. In such a situation, experts believe that investing in both types of funds is a safe strategy.
