All-round growth in the Indian market is attracting retail investors. The question is, can this growth be sustained and what should retail investors do? According to Sridatta Bhandwaldar, Equity Head, Canara Robeco, the Indian market is in a cyclical upturn and this growth lasts for 3 to 4 years. But retail investors should invest cautiously. Invest in direct equity that is stocks only if you understand it. If there is no understanding of the market then a better option is to start a mutual fund investment.

Retail investors should invest for a long time. The benefit of compounding will be available only if you invest for a long time. Do not invest only on the basis of 6 months returns and market performance. Sridatta Bhandawaldar says that there is a cautious outlook about the market in terms of three years. But he is positive for a long time. Sridata believes that there will not be a big correction in the market, but the market will consolidate at the level around 60,000.
