Relief for loanees! Now, they don't have to pay penalty on EMI delay!

RBI guidelines regarding penal charges on loans have come into effect from April 1, 2024. Banks and finance companies have been barred from charging penal interest. Why did the Reserve Bank have to issue this guideline and how will it benefit the loanees?
