The company said that the demand and bookings have been good. It said that it is doing its best to deliver as many vehicles as possible. But, owing to supply side constraints, Maruti closed a little lower than last year.

On the other hand, homegrown auto major Tata Motors had a good day on Dhanteras on Tuesday. The deliveries nearly doubled as against last year due to strong demand for our ‘New Forever’ range, including the newly launched Punch and the EVs. However, Tata did not disclose the numbers for the day.

In a statement, the multi-brand certified company said that the festive season this year has been remarkable as the brand has registered 40% growth. It is overwhelmed at present with the traction on our e-commerce platform which has contributed 25% to our overall sales during this festive period.
