If you have a two-wheeler, you have no choice but to buy a third-party insurance policy. As per law, a two-wheeler makes it mandatory for the owner to buy an insurance plan. But if you want extra coverage, you have to buy add-on covers with a basic plan. These are available for an additional premium. Take a look at some most important add-on covers one can opt for.

1) Personal accident cover

Bike accidents are usually fatal for both the driver and pillion rider. That’s why personal accident cover is one of the very important add-on covers that is offered by almost every two-wheeler insurer. This add-on cover usually comes with two variants: one is for the owner or driver of the bike and the other is for the pillion rider.

2) Zero depreciation cover

Depreciation is the reduction in value of your two-wheeler and its parts due to wear and tear. In case of a claim, the insurance company will provide compensation based on the depreciated value of the vehicle and its parts. But if you buy a zero depreciation cover it will ensure that this depreciation factor does not affect the claim amount. That’s why you will get a maximum reimbursement during the time of claim.
