Here’s how to get instant e-PAN on the new income tax portal

If a person is already holding the PAN card and are eligible to obtain Aadhaar number or already holding one, then it should be intimated to the Income Tax department. Failure to do this, will result in PAN becoming inoperative.

To download e-PAN, login to incometax.gov.in. Now click on 'Our Services' at the bottom left. Here, click on 'Instant e-PAN'.

If you remember your PAN number, enter it and proceed. Those who don't remember their PAN number can enter Aadhar card number.

However, in case you enter the Aadhaar card number instead of PAN, make sure both are linked from prior.

Now read the terms and conditions and click on 'Accept' button. Soon, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Next, enter the OTP and your email ID on a form displayed on your screen. Click on 'submit' after carefully reviewing it.

Take a double look at your Aadhaar photo before applying for online loans. Video KYC uses machine-based face recognition and if the photo on your KYC documents do not match with the one captured in video KYC, the application can be rejected.
