Don’t share your OTPs. This has been said several times by the banks. Your OTP should be confidential. No bank asks you for an OTP. Therefore, if someone asks you this information, know that the person might be a scamster. UPI also provides a service wherein a collection request can be sent. Make sure, you click on only those collection requests which are known to you.

SIM Cloning has become very common. It won’t take much time for a scamster to clone your sim and get important details like OTPs on their mobile phones. Hence, never keep your mobile phone unattended. In the era of digitalisation, such mistakes can cost you heavy.

Scanning a random QR code can give access to your confidential details to fraudsters as scanning a QR code can take you to any malicious software that you might be unaware of. Therefore, while scanning, always check that merchant’s name appears on your screen.
