Don’t share your OTPs. This has been said several times by the banks. Your OTP should be confidential. No bank asks you for an OTP. Therefore, if someone asks you this information, know that the person might be a scamster. UPI also provides a service wherein a collection request can be sent. Be aware of all the protective policies laid down by RBI to protect customers. For example, RBI has come up with a policy wherein you can ask the bank about the cheque details if it involves a transaction of more than Rs 50,000. Also, you can set the maximum limit for your debit and credit cards.
