These affordable bikes give best mileage in 100cc segment

With petrol price hovering around record highs, many people are looking at fuel efficient options for their daily commute. Also, in the view of second COVID-19 wave, public transport is no longer the first preference for many. So, if you’re looking to buy an economical ride for your daily commute, here are a few options:

Bajaj CT 100: . It is the one of the most affordable bike with low maintenance and high fuel efficiency. It comes equipped with a single cylinder 102cc 4 stroke engine. CT 100 comes with a fuel tank capacity of 10.5 litres and gives a mileage of 90kmpl. The bike has a 4-speed manual gearbox and drum brakes on both rear and front wheel with CBS (combi-braking system).  The bike costs Rs 49, 152 (ex-showroom) in Delhi.

Bajaj Platina 110 ABS: It is one of the best-selling models of Bajaj. Platina 110 has a single-cylinder 115cc air-cooled BS6 engine, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It is the only bike in its segment right now to offer Anti-lock braking technology. It gives the mileage of 80-90 kmpl. The bike is priced at Rs 65,926 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

TVS Sport: The bike comes powered with a 109.7cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected BS6 complied engine and offers a mileage of 75-90kmpl. TVS Sport comes with drum brakes on both front and rear. It weighs 110 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 10 liters. The price starts at Rs. 55,885 in India.

Hero Splendor Plus: The bike is equipped with a 97.2cc, air-cooled single-cylinder BS6 engine that offers a mileage of up to 70km per litre. Just like Bajaj CT100, Splendor Plus also comes powered with drum brakes on both front and rear along with the combined braking system (CBS). It weighs 112 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 9.8 liters. The new BS6 version is available in 5 variants and 8 colors. The bike is available at a starting price of Rs 62,535 ex-showroom Delhi.
