Bank Holidays Sept 2021: The major holiday of the month is Ganesh Chaturthi which starts on September 10

Banks will observe a holiday on September 9, on account of Haritalika Teej.

The banks in several cities will remain closed for 4 days, starting from today i.e September 9, 2021. In case you are planning any bank-related work you must check the dates before visiting your branch office. Banks will observe a holiday on September 9, on account of Haritalika Teej. The branches will be closed in Gangtok.

One of the major festivals celebrated across India is Ganesh Chaturthi which starts on September 10. The banks will remain closed on account of the festival in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nagpur and Panaji. In Panaji and few other cities, the banks will remain shut on the second day of Ganesh Chaturthi.  Since it’s the second Saturday of the month, the bank work will be affected in all the cities.

On September 12, banks will remain closed again as it is Sunday.

1) September 9 – Teej (Haritalika) – (Gangtok)

2) September 10 – Ganesh Chaturthi/Samvatsari (Chaturthi Paksha)/Vinayakar Chathurthi/Varasiddhi Vinayaka Vrata – (Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji)

3) September 11 – Second Saturday / Ganesh Chaturthi (2nd day) – (Panaji)

4) September 12 – Sunday
