IppoPay Inks Deal With Visa To Issue Credit Cards For Small Biz

Chennai-based fintech IppoPay recently announced its partnership with card giant Visa to provide credit cards for small businesses. The new deal will focus on uplifting small business owners and facilitate financial inclusion in tier 2 & 3 cities and rural areas, it said in a statement.

Further, the fintech will be expanding its reach and enhancing its services in the coming coming months, making “financial inclusion a reality” through this partnership.

According to Mohan K, CEO and Founder, IppoPay, the small business segment in the country is underserved by conventional card providers leaving an opportunity of $330 billion completely unaddressed. “Given the size of the opportunity and also being a core segment, IppoPay is best positioned to address their credit demands”, he adds.

“The offerings from the partnership will empower small merchants with access to working capital and affordable payment solutions, bolstering financial freedom and planning”, said Sujai Raina, VP and Head Business Development, Visa India.

Back in August this year, the fintech had partnered with Light Microfinance to provide digital loans to the MSME segment in rural and semi-urban micro markets of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka.
