Indian Navy, Naval Ship Repair Yard, Port Blair has invited applications for recruitment of skilled tradesman. This is a group-C, non-gazetted, industrial post. The total number of vacancies is 302. The selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India in naval units or formations as per administrative requirement but normally will have to be posted in units under Andaman and Nicobar command. As per official notification, only ex-naval dockyard apprentices are only eligible to apply for the posts.

Eligibility criteria

– Educational qualification:

i) Minimum matriculation or equivalent from a recognised institute or board with knowledge of English.

ii) Should have completed apprenticeship training in the trade.

or

Mechanic or equivalent with two years of regular service in the appropriate technical branch of the army, navy and air force.

– Age Limit:

Between 18 to to 25 years. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for reserved candidates as per government guidelines.

Pay scale:

Pay matrix Rs 19,9000 to Rs 63,200 (Level 2 of VII CPC)
